When asked for three words to describe the BeckRidge Chorale, audience members said:
"Professional, musical, stirring."
"They are terrific!" "Entertaining, professional, dedicated." "Polished, organized, professional." "An Amazing Group!" |
All of us need a creative outlet, an opportunity to use our talents. We want to be challenged, improve our skills and most importantly, feel a connectedness to diverse people sharing a love to make great music.
Why BeckRidge? You miss making music. Perhaps it has been awhile since you were part of a choir. You might even be questioning if you are "good" enough.
What's so special about the arts?At BeckRidge, we understand. Life comes along and some things we loved get pushed to the back burner. Add to that the questions: Can I still sing well enough not to embarrass myself? Can I feel I am making a real contribution?
The BeckRidge .Chorale is made up of people just like you. For us, it's not about having the greatest voice, it's about passion, creating beauty, a learning spirit, and touching lives...one experience at a time. It's about carving out two hours a week...just for you!
EXPERIENCE BECKRIDGE FOR YOURSELF
One of the great regrets in life is not believing in yourself enough to develop and use the talents you know you have and love.
BeckRidge provides encouragement, training, and performance opportunities to help you become better than you ever dreamed possible.
You don't need to be a self-doubting, frustrated spectator. Become the creative, confident musician you always dreamed of.
The BeckRidge Chorale is a large, mixed voice, auditioned ensemble. Members are drawn from all over southeastern lower Michigan. BeckRidge has been invited to sing at Washington's National Cathedral on two different occasions. In addition, the group has performed with the Michigan Philharmonic and the Birmingham/Bloomfield Symphony. Most recently the Chorale worked with American composer and arranger Mark Hayes in a concert of his choral, piano and orchestral works. The Chorale rehearses Tuesday evenings and/or Sunday afternoons from September through Memorial Day. Three performances comprise the concert season - Christmas/Holiday, Spring (April or May) and Memorial Day. Repertoire includes both sacred and secular from classical to contemporary. Members are auditioned throughout the year.

A plan has been developed for a return to rehearsals. Unfortunately, it is not a return to NORMAL. However, if all of us observe these guidelines, we can weather the pandemic until such time we CAN RETURN TO NORMAL.
If you experience any of the following conditions, we ask you NOT participate in an in-person event until the symptoms have passed:
